New Jersey raised Joe Jonas insists that the Jonas Brothers are not breaking up. They’re just taking a little break right now.
Jonas performed his first solo concert without his brothers in Chicago Saturday night. According to Gather, he played never-heard-before songs called "Fast Life" and "Love Slayer" from his upcoming album.
People reports that Joe Jonas will be releasing a solo album in September, and he calls it a “coming of age” recording. But Jonas says there is no sibling rivalry among the brothers. Jonas did acknowledge to Pop Crush there have been a few brawls in dressing rooms and hotels.
Joe’s brother Nick has nothing but good words for Joe’s upcoming solo project. He told Billboard: I’m really proud of him because he really took his time on this from an artist’s perspective. He does a beautiful job of making it just as good a song as it is a story. The whole record, as a piece of art, is brilliant.”
The album's first single "See No More," which was co-written by Chris Brown, was released Friday, June 3.
Jonas, who grew up in Wyckoff, formed the Jonas Brothers with his brothers Nick and Kevin in 2005. Buddytv.com reports the group has seen three albums top the Billboard charts, and they won Best Group at the 2008 Nickelodeon’s Kid Choice Awards.
Joe Jonas has also kept quite busy in his personal life. Since 2006, he has been linked to AJ Michalka of pop-duo 78violet , country pop singer Taylor Swift, actress Camilla Belle, Demi Lovato and "Twilight" star Ashley Greene.
